Fresh eggs can be fertilized on the day of collection, followed by a fresh embryo transfer five days later. Alternatively, embryos may be sent for genetic testing (e.g., NGS) and frozen for later transfer.
Whether a fresh or frozen embryo is used, the transfer is performed under ultrasound guidance for precision. Two weeks after the procedure, a blood test for hCG determines if pregnancy has been achieved.
